What started as a custom booking system for one restaurant grew into a full multi-tenant SaaS platform. Each restaurant gets their own dashboard, time slot management, weekly schedule, and user roles - all from a single codebase. The system handles 863+ reservations with automated email confirmations via SMTP, and supports both Dutch and English.

Chapter 01 / The chaos

Restaurants were managing reservations through phone calls and handwritten notes. Double bookings were common, confirmation emails were manual, and there was no way to see capacity at a glance. Staff spent more time managing bookings than serving guests.
